We’re excited to introduce a powerful new feature in Setsy that makes running sessions easier and more seamless than ever: Broadcasting.
With Broadcasting, you can now share your live round screen directly with players. No more whiteboards. No more players crowding the clubroom or waiting to be told which court they’re on. Now, they’ll have all the info they need—right on their phone.
What is Broadcasting?
Broadcasting allows organisers to show the current round screen to players in real time. It’s a read-only view, meaning players can see:
- Which court they’re on
- Who they’re playing with and against
- Previous round details (if they want to look back)
Importantly, they can’t make any changes, so the organiser stays in control.
Broadcasting is available from any page in the navigation within a session—not just on the round screen.
How to Use It
- Go to any page within a session.
- Toggle the Broadcast switch in the top navigation.
- Click the share icon to bring up a QR code and link.
- Players can scan the QR code or open the link on their phone to view the session live.
You can also access this feature on mobile—just swipe across the top navigation to find the Broadcast switch.
What Players See
When players visit the broadcast link, they get:
- A clean, read-only version of the session
- Court assignments and names only (no ratings shown)
- The ability to follow themselves, so they only see the court they’re on
- A share button, so they can pass it on to fellow players
This means less admin for organisers, fewer questions, and a smoother flow from round to round.
You Stay in Control
Need to make some changes before showing the next round? Just turn off Broadcast temporarily. Players will see a message that the session is currently unavailable. When you’re ready, toggle it back on and their screen will refresh with the latest info.
Why We Built It
This feature was designed to:
- Make life easier for organisers and players. Organisers can let players self serve. Players don't need to walk back to the clubhouse or ask where they are going next.
- Work beautifully across all devices, big or small
We think it’s a game-changer—and we’d love to hear what you think.
Try it out at your next session—and let us know how it goes!
